Was researching about my primary school and came across this blog of a newborn (written by her parents, obviously). The parents very proudly and unabashedly contacted my primary school to sign up for the parents' volunteer scheme in hopes of landing their child a spot at my school.

MIND YOU WHEN THIS POST WAS WRITTEN SHE WAS NOT EVEN BORN YET.

My old alma mater was "alarmed" and told the mother to "come back in 4 years".

I, on the other hand, am deeply alarmed by how kiasu Singaporeans can get. Why are we like this???
